Welcome to Wardrobe
A note about what's to come.
One night in late January, unpacking my suitcase after another Paris men’s reporting trip, I decided it was finally time. Years of interviewing thoughtful men about the clothing they wear had made one thing clear: There’s a difference between shopping and building a wardrobe, and too often, my own purchases were landing me on the wrong side of that divide.
I’m determined to cross it. After a decade working in and around the industry, I’m fortunate to have relationships with some of the best minds in menswear—designers, tailors, buyers, enviable dressers—and that evening, I realised they might be able to help. Over the past month, I’ve been to Paris, London, New York, and Stockholm, spending time in a few of these people’s homes, stores, and studios, seeking their hard-earned wisdom, and asking about their most beloved items.
Wardrobe, publishing every few days, is where all of these discoveries will live. Whether I’m highlighting a worth-it designer, shadowing a tailor, traveling to see a specialist, or sharing the story of a great new find, my hope is that every send will help you think about your own wardrobe with a little more clarity, and leave you with a deeper appreciation for the quality items you already own.
The goal is pretty simple, really. I want us to all build wardrobes that make us happy, last a long time, and help us feel more like ourselves.
You can find more information about subscriptions and my career over on the About page. Otherwise, the sends begin April 10th. I hope you’ll come along.

I am so excited to watch you build this!!!
Hell yes. It's amazing to me how there are SO FEW menswear-focused Substacks. I can maybe count at most 10. Can't wait.
